Network of electric vehicle maintenance teachers established with Eramus+

From November 2021 to June 2024, Kuressaare Ametikool collaborated with a network of 14 VET institutions with the aim of enhancing networking skills and creating a network of technical vocational teachers in the transport sector to share best practices in electric vehicle teaching methods and tools. The project, funded by Erasmus+, was titled "European E-Transport Network for Vocational Education and Training" (ETN4VET) and included partners from 11 countries.

"The established network has enabled teachers to share best practices and innovative methods that contribute to the advancement of vocational education in electric vehicle maintenance and repair across Europe," said Ave Paaskivi, the project manager from the vocational school.

Some facts about the project:

- The ETN4VET network includes 136 members (European vocational teachers).
- Three in-person learning and networking events were held in Porto (Portugal), Geras (Germany), and Trondheim (Norway) with a total of 75 participants.
- Eight online learning and networking events were held, with a total of over 200 participants.
- Satisfaction among both students and teachers regarding the quantity and quality of electric vehicle education increased by more than 25%.
- Satisfaction among both teachers and companies regarding the quantity and quality of their professional "E-vehicle network" increased by more than 25%.
- More than 75 vocational teachers visited each other to explore best practices and exchange experiences.
- More than 75 vocational students experienced international mobility (mostly in the form of internships).
- Due to the successful outcome of the ETN4VET project, it has been decided to keep the network alive by organizing practical masterclasses and theoretical masterclasses online every year.
